Our kindergarten was founded by Pege Zsóka in 1981, on the 12th district's Böszörményi út.
Shortly the space became limited due to expanding requirements, so we moved to Gellért hill for a while, before eventually occupying our recent location.
We are located in the vicinity of Normafa, on an area of 500 sqm, with 3 rooms equipped properly to the requirements, a kitchen, the rest of the requisite premises and a 200sqm gym.
Besides using our own playground, which has been extended in 2012, trips and tours are taken regularly by the children, taking advantage of our fortunate location.
The Children's Railway's stop is just a few meters away, so kids can take a ride on their favorite little train.
The founder set the HAPPY KINDERGARTEN AGE as an aim. Her caring, accepting, cheerful and personalized educational attitude is valid to this day. Every child has the right to feel themselves good and its conditions are ensured by this kindergarten.
Looking out to the world
Three decades ago Pingvin Kindergarten was the first in Hungary where kids would take regular foreign language courses, besides native language and culture activities. German language first, then English language was introduced too in 1991.
The founder gained much experience from her study trips in many countries. The backbone of her methods is the emotional motivation of children, playfulness and the respect of children's personalities.
